The Best Indian book, actually the first Indian book, I’ve ever read.
Amasingly depited modern India with unbelievable tales.
NOW I really want to visit India!!! The world’s most vibrant city of Mumbai and the Eighth Wonder of the World - Taji Mahal in Agra.
Though our hero sadly realized that money has power over the minds of others, he told me the truth that luck comes from within.

and  Warning! This may be spoilers.
1) Shocking similarity between the death of an actress and the late suicide incidents of two Korean TV stars.
2) I watched the trailers of the film version of Slumdog millionaire and I finished the book. I think the film might be quite different from the novel. Maybe a screenwriter found the hero’s stories so shocking that he must have altered them less appalling. For me, as I was reading it I couldn’t believe that all those evil things and tragic incidents happen in reality from rape, harassment, and indifference to deception, betrayal, and  corruption. All the evil things you can think of are in that dismal life of our still young hero.

Nevertheless, the somewhat happy ending may console you after crying over the sad truth of our neighbors inflicted by poverty, illness, and misfortune.
