First of all, I would like to remind you that this book was originally published in November 2006. In retrospect, all the gloomy and pessimistic economic forecasts Ravi Batra made in the book has happend in reality from the burst of twin bubbles - the housing and oil bubbles - to the global financial meltdown and finally the Depression in the making.

       Yes, there were many other economists who warned us of the looming financial crisis, such are the late Nobel laureate Paul Krugman and the so-called Dr. Doom, Nouriel Roubini.

       However, none of them has the comprehensive cyclical analysis of  over three hundred year American economic history and the unique way of observing human socio-economic history called the Law of Social Cycle that he and his mentor Sarkar created and developed. 

       With the two main analysis tools -- the Cycles of Inflation and Money of the U.S. history and the Law of Social Cycle of Western history, he has made numerous predictions from the Iranian Revolution to the downfall of Soviet Union. His recent book has the most significant features of all of his works. That is Psychohistory. It is the terminology  that Isaac Asimov frist coined in his Foundation Trilogy in 1950s. 

        Issac Asimov, the 20st century’s most influential science fiction author, created the science called Psychohistory, the scientific way of predicting the future by analysing the cycles of human history and the long term socio-economic trends. In his Foundation Trilogy, Hari Seldon, a genius mathematician in the Galactic Empire, perfected psychohistory - the science of human behavior reduced to mathematical equations. 

        Hari Seldon predicted the downfall of the Galactic Empire with psychohistory and began to build Foundations to save humanity from the ensuing chaos. The so-called Seldon Plan is the humanity’s last hope. 
       
        Likewise, Ravi Batra almost perfected his extraordinary way of predicting the future for the sake of humanity. His socio-economic forecasts, ideas, and answers to the current economic problems are provided not only for Americans but only for world’s citizens. 
        
          Now Ravi Batra’s Plan to save the world is the ballot-box revolt, the revolution without bloodshed. It is the democratic and republican way to revolt against the corrupted incumbent politicians, incompetent bureaucracy, and the greedy self-interest monopoly businesses. It seems to me that Americans have achieved the first step to this Plan. Americans, deceived, cheated, and betrayed for decades, finally awoke to the truth and chose the right person for the Savior of humanity. I would like to believe the President Obama is the man Ravi Batra has tried to find for the warrior leader who will lead us into the new golden age following after the catastrophic economic chaos. 
     
        Ravi Batra is the Hari Seldon I have been looking for.  This book is the Hari Seldon Plan we need to strive to perfect in the future.
