A girl from ancient Gaya, dressed in blood-color, is reaching out to me with her right hand. Her big eyes seem to be asking if you¡¯re curious about her life. How warm can I feel on her when I hold her hand, and what can I hear when I stare at her lips? But I am overwhelmed by the earnestness in those eyes of hers.
This summer, I met Songhyeon at the exhibition titled, "Songhyeon, a buried-alive girl, speaks about Bisabeol," at the Bokcheon Museum. She was lying as a skeleton with the three people who were buried together alive in the 15th tomb in Songhyeon-dong, Changnyeong. Thrown away the world¡¯s time, but her own body, which has not been completely thrown away over the years, remaining as pieces of bone and has returned to the present, I was wondering if she is happy with our eyes looking into her or if she considers it lucky to be found. In person, I met up with the thin 16 year old girl of a short height of 150 or so centimeters through an eternal breath and is told the story behind the distant history.
Songhyeon : Sister, my destiny is to die following my lord. If he were to another world alone, how could he live? I will have to go with him to serve and take care of him.
