My curiosity about Korean culture has been piqued by the stories. The careful translations echo the individual author¡¯s style and remind me of the magic of language. Korea has a rich literary history that is surely reflected in the stories. As an English composition and literature survey instructor, I am more familiar with Korean American stories that generally reflect youth embracing American culture and parents ruing the loss of their traditions.
