Sport and the sport industry have had a tremendous impact on modern society; the subject ‘sport’ has become our daily topic due to its global and popular nature for everyone.
Just like the two major characteristics ‘lobal’and ‘opular’ sport have played critical roles in our society, knowing, getting familiar with, and using English in our daily life has become a natural phenomenon anywhere in the world. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that sport and English have something special in common.
This book is designed to help the ESL student understand and learn how to write English through sport. With this book, students will have the opportunity to understand the various stages of English writing from pre-writing, paragraph formats, to essay formats. In addition, they will have the opportunity to practice and discuss their writing with their classmates with critical articles on the sport industry.
Because of commonalities between sport and English, you do not have to have played any sport to be able to use this book. All you need is to become interested in sport or sport-related subject. Are you interested in sport? Then, we are sure that you are ready for the book.
