「designpeak」제12권『B+U』. 이 책은 EQUAL BOOKS 편집부에서 발간하는 ＜designpeak＞시리즈의 열두 번째 책으로써, B+U 건축이 디자인한 다양한 건축물들을 소개하는 작품집이다. 건축물의 전체적인 사진과 평면도를 수록하고 건축 배경 등에 대해 설명하였다.

미국에서 활동 중인 B+U는 2000년에 Herwig Baumgarther, Scoot Uriu에 의해 설립되었다, B+U의 목표는 지속적인 건축 형태로 도시 디자인의 경계를 허무는 것이다. B+U는 끊임없는 연구와 기술 개발을 통하여 눈에 보이지 않는 형태를 이론적 3D 형태로 구현할 수 있게 되었다, B+U는 건축 작품 활동 외에 3D 기술과 새로운 건축 재료와 기술의 연구, 개발을 목표로 하고 있다.

B+U’s mission is to constantly push the boundaries of architecture and urban design. Using technology and research in combination with hands-on design, the firm’s projects are often informed by the mapping and transforming of imperceptible forces, including sonograms. B+U has developed analytic and generative software that has allowed it to implement its theories into a three-dimensional form. B+U is on a continuous mission to research and experiment with new technologies, building materials and construction techniques by virtue of 3D technology and manufacturing techniques often employed outside of the architectural profession. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California and established in 2000 by architects Herwig Baumgartner and Scott
Uriu, each partners with over 15 years of professional experience, B+U is a full-service architecture firm that has worked on projects both nationwide and abroad. The architects’ work has comprised cultural locations (including museums, concert halls and exhibition spaces), educational and transportation facilities, master planning and urban design, offices and mixed-use developments, restaurants, and residential work. B+U’s work was recently
exhibited at the Architecture and Design Museum (A+D) in Los Angeles; the 12th Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy; the Milan Stadtkrone 2030 Exhibition in Milan, Italy; the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Austria; and the CCRD in Hollywood, California. It has also been widely published and discussed in such books and magazines as Architectural Record, Architects Newspaper, The Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Angelino, Azure, Futuristic, FORM, Future Arquitecturas, B-1 magazine, Architecture Live 6, REM, Elemente, Construction and Architecture, Light-Color-Sound Interior and Design, Dialog, 360 Modern Architecture, arcCA,
