    모 윌렘스는 2004년 칼데콧 아너 상 수상작인『비둘기에게 버스 운전은 맡기지 마세요』와 국내에는『꼬므 토끼』로 소개된 2005년 칼데콧 아너 상 수상작『Knuffle Bunny』의 작가다. 이 외에도『비둘기야, 핫도그 맛있니?』『정말 정말 한심한 괴물 레오나르도』『쉬~할 시간이야』등 독창적인 그림책을 많이 펴낸 젊은 작가이다. 모 윌렘스는 텔레비전 방송 작가로 데뷔하여 <세서미 스트리트>와 <큰 도시의 양들>로 에미 상을 여섯 차례나 수상하였다. 현재 뉴욕 브루클린에서 가족과 함께 살고 있다.
