책소개

아랍어 교육에 몸담은 사람들이 학생들에게 가장 많이 듣는 것이 ‘아랍어는 왜 어려운가요?’, ‘아랍어 문법은 공부하기가 어렵다.’라는 말일 것이다. 필자도 아랍어를 배우면서 가장 어려워했던 과목이 문법 과목이었으니 시간이 흘러도 근본적인 문제는 변하지 않은 것 같다. 오늘 날 외국어 교수법도 언어의 4기능을 망라하는 의사소통식 교육법으로 변화되어 화자의 의사소통능력의 배양을 지향하고 있으나, 아랍어 문법 교육은 여전히 전통적인 방법에서 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 물론 문법을 쉽게 마스터 할 수 있는 왕도는 없다. 문법 자체가 복잡한 규칙체계로 구성되어 있고 더구나 아랍어 문법은 다른 외국어에 없는 독특한 규칙체계가 있기 때문이다. 아마도 아랍어 문법을 쉽게 그리고 효율적으로 습득할 수 있는 방법은 좋은 문법 교재와 효율적인 교수법일 것이다.
본 교재는 기존의 문법 사항을 유지하되 과수를 24과로 요약했고, 다양한 문형을 소개하고 연습하게 함으로써 문법학습을 용이하게 했으며, 문법용어들을 통일했고 연습문제의 답을 수록함으로써 학습자들의 수요에 부응했다.
