I just started reading this book but it seems a little bit disappointing. I thought this book is a kind of a novel but it is actually a series of thoughts about the objects that we can face in everyday life especially in contryside(based on the chapters that I have been reading)

If you expect it to be a romantic novel, your guess turns out to be totally wrong. I have read seveal pages and it is too fast to judge this book. So when I finish this book, my review probably will be changed.

I overheard that one of my colleagues metioned this book was so touching and sad. The cover was not that fascinating and I  wasn’t also familar with the Afgan culture. But she was one of the most reader around me and I decided to trust her perspective.

When I got started the book, I encountered a few unfamilar words but it was not a big deal. I was shocked several times at the sad news about the main characters, especially Hassan and his son, Sohrab. Due to the unescapable social staus, they were persecuted so badly. When Hassan was blooded with the Assef’s harrasement, I was almost crying and Sohrab’s trial of suicide made me feel like a prick.

I was so touchd and sometimes so worried about Sohrab’s muteness, but the ending gave me a big relief. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to experience the true moving story.
