이번 아이언맨 3는 코믹 익스트리미스를 바탕으로 한다는 루머가 있다. 현재 가이 피어스, 로보트 다우니 주니어, 돈 치들, 기네스 펠트로, 벤 킹슬리가 캐스팅된 상태. 2013년 5월 3일 개봉예정.

Jessica Chastain is the latest talent said to be up for a role in the soon-to-shoot Iron Man 3, Deadline reports.

The Tree of Life actress would play as scientist who is said to be the intellectual equal of Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. Although it's not confirmed, it's possible that the role is that of Dr. Maya Hansen, a character responsible for the "Extremis" nanotechnology which is said to be a key part of the sequel's focus.

The news comes just days after it was announced that Guy Pearce is up for the part of Dr. Aldrich Killian, a character from the popular Warren Ellis storyline.

Written and directed by Shane Black (and co-written by Drew Pearce), Iron Man 3 also stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Ben Kingsley and is set for release on May 3, 2013.
