* This is my son’s review for ’Everest #2: The Climb.’

(1) About this book.
     Gordon Korman, 151 pages, Nonfiction

(2) When and where the story takes place. Also choose one important character from this book.
This story takes place on Everest. Tilt Crowley is an important character in this story. He is a 14 year old built like a lumberjack. He is big for his size. He wants to be the youngest person tosummit Everest (even though he might hot). He is secretly plotting against the other climbers and leaking information to a newspaper to try and send Dominic home.

(3) Briefly summarize the main events of the story.
In the beginning, the Summit Quest team gets off the plane and arrives at Kathmandu. There, they set off for base camp (the first camp to Everest). They find out that someone was spying on their trip and leaking information to the National Daily and tried to send Dominic home. After that passes, they summit Lhotse, the fourth tallest mountain in the world and they find a wounded climber called Nestor with 10 crampton points stabbed in his back. In the end, they help Nestor get down and send him to the hospital.

(4) On a scale of one to five, how would I compare this book to others I have read?
It’s ’4.’ I would recommend this book because it tells facts about mountains, like Lhotse.
