Lady Gaga rocketed to fame in little over a year. She is a worldwide phenomenon known for her outrageous outfits and elaborate shows. Her moniker "Lady Gaga" was inspired from the best-selling song of Queen - "Radio Ga-Ga." Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born in Yonkers, New York, in 1986, to a working class family. She learned how to play the piano at age four, wrote her first piano ballad at 13, and began performing by age 14. At 17, Gaga gained early admission to New York University's School of the Arts, but dropped out during her sophomore year to focus on her musical career.
