A psychiatrist whose job is listening to people being unhappy and sad,

he goes on the tour of the world in search for happiness.

He devises a list of the description and definition of happiness he encounters while he travels.

The contents of the list would have touched the heart of at least some of the readers.

Some of them must have nodded, yes, that really is what happiness is about.

I, for one, could not help nodding to the description that happiness comes from not comparing oneself to the others.

I have a colleague at work who feels that she is unhappy because she does not have what others do. She constantly compares herself and the others and despises those who appear to have what she does not have. She would badmouth them, spread false rumours about them, and try to jeopardise their relationship with other colleagues. But in the end, it is she who suffers the consequences of her mouthing. That makes her feel even unhappier.

Why bother putting oneself in that position? One may not have what the others do, but the others sometimes do not have what one has.
