About the Author W. Richard Stevens (deceased), is the acclaimed author of the the First Edition of Advanced Programming in the Unix Environment and the following classics: Unix Network Programming, Volume 1 and 2; TCP/IP Illustrated, Volumes 1-3. Stephen Rago is the author of Unix System V Network Programming(AW).
